We have two communities to choose from!

Student Housing East - SHE offers suite-style living with lots of community space! This community was designed with 1st and 2nd year students in mind, however all academic years are welcome.

Student Housing West - SHW  is exclusively for Juniors, Seniors, Graduate Students and students that are 25 years or older. All rooms are singles and activities and programming will be career-focused and feature resources for post graduate planning.

Early Start Applications $250/2 week class

We offer housing for those students that are participating in the Early Start Program. Some classes are for 2 weeks and others are 4 weeks. Please pay attention to the dates that you will be taking classes. Each application is for a 2 week class. If you're staying for 4 weeks, you will need to complete 2 applications. If you have any questions, let us know!

We offer housing for the following Early Start Class dates:

Session 1: June 20 - June 30

Session 2: July 5 - July 14

Session 3: July 18 - July 28

Session 4: August 1 - August 11

*If you're taking a class from June 20 - July 14, you will need to complete applications for Session 1 & Session 2.

*If you're taking a class from July 5 - July 28, you will need to complete applications for Session 2 & Session 3.

*If you're taking a class from July 18 - August 11, you will need to complete applications for Session 3 & Session 4.

Each 2 week session is $250. Food is not included.

Welcome Reminders & Tips:

  • To log in to your portal, please use the same net ID & password that you use for your myCSUB account.
  • If you are new to CSUB, you must be formally admitted to the university before you apply. (If you're not sure if you have been formally admitted, check your myCSUB portal for the green check mark at the bottom of the page)
  • You will begin your application by entering/updating required personal information in order to create your Housing Portal.
  • Add csubhousing@gmail.com to your address book so you don't miss our emails! AND check your SPAM folder/filter!

  12. • If you receive a sufficient amount of Financial Aid, your package could be utilized to pay all of your housing fees directly.
  13. • 24 Hour access to support and community services through the Office of Residence Life
